I wonder if you can help me?
I know of Apolonia in Almancil but just wondered if there were any other British stores inbetween Almancil and Vila Real?
Its the curry sauces and other Indian cooking stuff I am looking for.

Not sure where vila real is but your local branch of Thomas Green will order anything you want in, they also stock some Indian sauces

Where are you? Jumbo in Faro (Algarve Shopping) usually has some Asian stuff, as does Intermarche in Olhao.
Give us a clue . . .

Hi SD, there is Deli in Tavira, by the Old Market, that stocks curry sauces (Pataks) and poppadoms etc. It has an unassuming frontage but is a bit of an Alladin's cave inside.

The name of the store is Vitel. They stock quite a good variety of non-Portuguese products and is worth a look.

We once bought another indian sauce from Apolonia that was infinitely superior to Pataks (which seems to always overstate the lime).
I mean, you may be able to get it elsewhere as well, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. It does begin with a P - I know that much, and the butter chicken one is excellent.
Also, and don't laugh, Homepride's Korma sauce is very moreish. Here's the killer though: not as good as Morrisons own brand (65p - Sorry).

SD's asking on my behalf cos my last threads in here (and on the Spain forum) got nuked! I believe it was because I'm not an alias and a troll!
Anyway, any help you can give in terms of suggesting Independent Brit foodshops or spice shops would be much appreciated.

and there was me trying to be helpful
anyway, for those of you genuinely interested, the Vitel shop is quite good and it's not a bleedin' 'Brit shop'.
SD, I'm sure your mod mates will let you off.
