Apparently , one of the biggies in his pre-electoral campaign was the promise , if Socialists win , to have the Wealth Tax abolished during their 2nd term ( i.e. in which they are now ) ;
I know , it's early days yet but : any updates , or bets , thereon ?

Wealth and inheritance taxes fall within the remit of the Comunidades Autonomas, not central government.

According to their programa electoral , they didn't actually say they'd abolish Wealth Tax, however they did say they'd encourage the CAs to get rid of it for small and medium sums by raising the limit at which it is applied - similarly for inheritance tax.
