You can get into Canada on a business visa, but that requires you to open a business that will employ Canadian residents and contribute to the local economy.
I have just responded to another person, and I want to tell you the same stuff that I told them. It would save me from typing it all over again if you read my response in the thread entitled, New and completely lost, sorry.

Unless you are a shamen, which might be a novelty sales pitch. If so, try Nelson BC, they are short of 1FTE and 1PTE shamen right now.
R.
BTW, j/k, for the persons of a serious mind.

Hi Mike,
My family and I live in Alberta, I am a qualified life coach (having qualified in the UK), and I would say there is a thriving community of life coaches. It is a similar stage as that in th UK, people are becoming more aware of it, and more open to the idea. Large companies in Alberta are doing well at the moment and have money to spend on staff development so there are opportunities. Calgary Association of Professional Coaches hold regular meeting and workshops. www.calgarycoaches.com
Not sure you will be able to get in to Canada as a coach but if you can find a way, once you arrive there is opportunity to have a successful business with coaching.
What area do you specialize in?
Good luck Louise
