Well we got out just in time, nice storm clouds heading for Somerset Dam at present... so should be a wet night. But tent all packed up after a quick dry out so no problems there.
Another good weekend away...

Deb wants it close enough to beat the dog sitters up if needs be and 5 hours is over Bobbies beer refueling limit.
So where does everyone else fancy, we could try in or down instead of up???

Abseil at Binna Burra! Lamington National Park
This is why Binna Burra is the adventure capital of Southern Queensland! Discover the thrill and heart pumping action of Abseiling. An 11mm diameter rope is your lifeline as you rappel down a 10m volcanic escarpment. Then, challenge the knee-shaking, specially selected, 40m or 90m cliff-face. This is always an unforgettable experience. Numbers are limited, so please check availability when planning your visit. Most Wild Walk Escapes include some abseiling adventure.

Evening Entertainment
After an active day in the rainforest, when the adrenalin has subsided and fatigue sets in with the setting sun, it's time to relax with our night time activities. Our evening activities could be a selection of a nocturnal spotlighting walk, bush poetry or any or our wildlife audio-visual presentations.
Bushwalking activities in Lamington National Park
Family walking one of the many bushwalking circuits
Lamington National Park is networked with over 160kms of marked walking tracks. Binna Burra's resident guides are all experienced naturalists and are happy to share their in-depth knowledge of the park ecosystems. By participating in a Guided Walk you will learn about the amazing diversity of the wonderful flora and fauna living in harmony in the lush subtropical rainforest. Every walk is different and there is no telling what you may discover!
Find a walk that suits you - Walking track information.
Fly through the Treetops on our Flying Fox
Fly through the Treetops on our Flying Fox
Strapped in a safety harness, feel the weightlessness as you zip through the treetops on our 160m long Flying Fox.
Enjoy the fresh mountain air rushing through your hair and the adrenalin in your veins as you speed through the rainforest it's a scream!
Orienteering! The Thought Sport!
"The Thought Sport" - orienteering tests groups ability to make decisions and negotiate differences of opinions.
The challenge involves reading a detailed map of the Binna Burra area with the aim of finding a route around the tracks to locate markers in the most efficient and fastest way possible.
Take the High Ropes Course! Team Building Activity
Using harnesses, helmets, cables, ropes and wooden beams strung 20 to 50 feet high among trees, teams explore risk-taking, trust and coaching. Each moment is rich with discoveries.
Participants appreciate the opportunity to interact with their teammates in a very different and powerful way. Our facilitators establish the context for each activity, monitor participant's safety and help the team recognize valuable insights throughout the day.
The high ropes elements are up in the trees so the perceived risk is high, but actual risk is low. Participants walk across cable bridges, negotiate giant ladders through the trees as they overcome personal fears and develop new self confidence.
