OK I'll start. 
How about Saturday 25th?
We could always try meeting up at a festival. I know, might be difficult, but sometimes worth a try.
I found this one that's on in Chicago. Has food, fireworks, entertainment and stuff for kids. There's a wine festival going on on the same day, too, but unfortunately it's down by St. Louis.

Like I said on my earlier post I won't be able to make it when I come over this trip but I really hope you have another get together before you go to NZ. It would be great to meet you all - especially considering how friendly and helpful everyone is. (You know how sometimes some of those forums can be really "long-term members only" sort of thing!)

If this meeting is in the greater chicago area, I will be there.
I'll continue to watch this thread to see how it evolves, however I don't really have any ideas about where or when. perhaps the Celtic festival in Grant park would be a good place although that isn't until mid September.

Hello Maz, & gdjones.
I've never been able to get to one of the meet-ups before but I'd really love to try and get to this one. I didn't realise there was a Celtic Festival, that really sound like fun! Will you still be around mid September Maz?

Super! Looks like we could have quite a turnout. 
We could always do something like take picnics to a forest preserve in the middle of the Chicagoland area. Thoughts on that?

I would gladly offer up my house for a meetup but unfortunately it's going on the market this week so we will always have to be ready to vacate it with an hour's notice. grrrr

I'll be away with work and don't get back until the 25th, then I'm away again in the middle of Sept but I'd be up for this if the dates work out.
