Found It... British Curry In Perth!!!
#1
Just had a meal at the 5 Rivers Indian restaurant/take away, which is by the Moon & sixpence in Woodvale. It is the BEST curry we have had since the UK and they do Balti!!!

We were craving for a curry and ended up at Red Turbon in Joondalup. It was the worst curry we have ever had
It cost $24 for a masala dish. It was absolutley gross
and so expensive. We have searched for a decent curry place so we will try the one you said. I will let you know what i think.
By the way i only like chicken breast in curries, can't be doing with leg and wing, so if it doesn't serve breast then i'm not going

Pretty sure it was breast in the chicken balti, but once I'd tasted that sauce it could have been any meat and I would have scoffed it!!

Friend of mine had a take-away from there last week.
She rang whilst in the middle of eating it to tell us that it was great!
Will have to give it a try.

Hi,
Yep, they do serve a great curry. I live in Woodvale and have eaten in the restaurant and had a take away. The food is lovely and they also do a mean Balti. They will also spice up/down to your requirements.
The couple who run the restaurant are originally from Birmingham. Very friendly as well. Opened around 3-4 weeks ago.
Cheers

I've just called my wife to tell her that a proper Indian restaurant has been sighted - we're going tonight. (Unless it's closed Mondays)
Have we got the street name?

Not sure on the address? You cannot see it from The Moon as you have to walk or park round the other side of the shops.
I think it is about $14-$15 for mains. Starters are good as well. It was pretty busy when I went in the other Friday evening for a take away and it took around 45 minutes. But heh, with the Moon round the corner, I was quite happy to partake in a little liquid refreshment whilst waiting.

Just been. Excellent food - felt like a bit of a homecoming - just like a Friday night!
At last - good thick, British Indian style sauces. Very fresh - we all loved it and will now, no doubt, be regulars.
Phew, what a relief. At last!]
Will post a link on the other Indian restaurants thread.

Just recommended this restaurant to my Dad who funnily enough had, had a recommendation from someone in the 'Moon and Sixpence' about it.
Am going to get a take away soon - can't wait
My OH is Indian so know he will be up for a curry (spesh a British style curry)
