Yes - I used to do a lot of running when I was training for my police days. It's running on hard surfaces that ruins your lower legs due to the impact. I used to get quite bad cramps in my calfs after a long run.

In the end I knocked it on the head and took up squash, which IMO is a much better work out, has an element of competition and is more sociable than running. and you can go for a beer with your partner after too!

This is sounding more and more like my cup of tea. Could we factor in a game of darts or pool as well?

But it's what I've always wanted. Doesn't every little girl dream of one day, owning a rowing machine all of her very own? (Insert angelic smiley - do we have one?)

Really? I thought little girls dreamed of owning My Little Pony, then a huge diamond ring, with little else in between...

Natch.

OK, the time has come. I'm going out for a while, I may be some time. If I'm not back posting in 30 minutes, please send an ambulance to Black Wattle bay park - I'll probably be dying of a heart attack somewhere on my run route.

Ta very muchly.

Me and the OH have been in Sydney for around 4 months now & quite fancy meeting some more people. I figured that there are probably lots of thirsty people working in the CBD who might be free for an after-work drink.

Does anyone fancy it?
Hi,
Just read this thread. I'm been in Sydney for 6 months now and work in the CBD - how did that meet up go? Have you got anymore planned.

Nearly 20,000 posts later - I think you could say the meet was a success
