Default The price some parents are prepared to pay

Here's a link to a BBC article about the extortionate price parents are paying for their childrens' clothes. Would you/do you pay $100 for your youngsters tee shirts, shorts and $150 for jeans. We are not talking about teenagers' clothes but clothes for small children. I wouldn't pay $100 for a tee shirt for myself or my 21 yr old daughter. Apparently Post and Beck's kids are the new role models. :scared:

I read it too Jerseygirl, damned ridiculous I think. Kids clothes don't fit them for long anyway, what a waste of money.

I haven't got any bin lids, but if I did then yeah I would, if I was a gazillionaire and didn't haven't to worry about $$$. Me and my children would walk round in clothes sewn by posh french women who were bred by pedigree to sew my clothes. And I would employ scientists to make my farts smell like roses.

I think it's rather cool, actually.

A couple of months later I buy them for cents in the dollar from the thrift store...

Poor kids though - I bet they'd rather have a decent college fund by the time they hit 18...

Yesterday I went into...dare I say it...oh what the hell...Walmart. :scared:
I bought 4 lovely strappy tops for my daughter that had been reduced to $3 each! She will love them and look like a million dollars when she wears them with the right accessories. Its all about style...my sister is the same she can buy a really cheap item of clothing and look great.

Well my youngest, little Armani, is partial to desingner clothes, and little Chanel loves expensive gear too. Don't know where they get that from though.

I wouldn't either....but then my husband doesn't earn what Beckham earns....and I certainly don't have the same money as his wife does.....if I was worth what they are then I probably would spend that kind of money on my kids clothes

Dressing kids like this does not make the kids any smarter (as in intelligent). Ditto for the parents.

Exactly. It makes them spoiled and expecting that the world owes them a living, and grow up to be exactly like their parents!

How about something in the middle that doesn't fall apart and isn't made in countries which use forced labour, but isn't priced as if it's made from ****** saffron????!?!

I think $3 is too little to pay for a decent shirt (not an attack jerseygirl, just an opinion) and $100 is too much.

Yes, same for me on ebay. And I've been known to pay exorbitant amounts for *some* clothes but not for the majority of them.
