I have just had a conversation with my migration agent...

He sent the TRA on the 12th Jan...

It got acknowledged on the 30th Jan !!!!!!!!

18 days to be acknowledged ?? Whats that all about..

Are they extremely busy or did someone not send when they said ?

I paid Aus$500 for priority that doesnt seem priority to me....

If you take into account 5 working days for postage there and then 5 back that doesn,t sound that bad.
Don't they say that Priority is done within 90 days
and non-priority with 6 months.
Mine was only Just over a month for a non-priority case.

I think this cold weather is making more people apply for Trades recognition in Aus, got to be there busiest time.

Just can't understand why its taken 18 days to acknowledge when some people get an acceptance in LESS !!

I totally agree with you, Nick.

If it was sent on Jan 12th and it took around 5 days to reach them, the acknowledgement should have been around Jan 17th.

Remember, that's TRA for you.

We sent our TRA off one day later than you and it was ack on 24/01/06. I thought ours was pretty late in being acknowledged!
I just can't stand this waiting around and checking my post and emails everyday (about 5 times a day!)

Our TRA was delivered on 22 January and our acknowledgement was dated 24 Jan. We paid for the priority but I know of at least one person that hasn't paid for priority and has had their result back within 2 weeks!!

I don't really think that there is anything called priority it's probably just another way to get money out of you!!! lol

Anyway here's hoping that the POSITIVE TRA result is already winging it's way back to you!! Good luck

Mine took 18 days I think from sending it off( In OZ) to getting positive result..

Still worth the wait...

You'll hear soon Nick. I'd send some Karma but a bit thick when it comes to that and don't know how!!!!!

When I did my first TRA in the bad old days of 2004 it took over 5 months to come back failed and that was priority! Even earlier this year when I tried again it took 2 months. I can't believe how quick they are now, so chill out and resign yourself to waiting - hard I know, but it will happen.

It is definately the luck of the draw, we applied as a hairdresser and it came back positive in 7 days (non priority)! work that one out if you can.
