The idea is that if someone provides really useful information you can reward them with Karma.

Just click on the Karma link on the bottom right of the message - a bit below the stars and blue box's.

Stars represent the posting you have done on the site. Blue box's represent the Karma you have been awarded.

However - beware - a lot of blue box's does not necessarily mean a reputable person. I went to the lounge area and simply said hi and a load of people suddenly dropped Karma on me for saying hi - Kind of crazy in them rooms.

I think I would trust some-one more with just a few karma box's and a lot of posts rather than some-one like me where I have more Karma than posts. Its a pity you can't reject Karma that has been given to you. (unless they are a moderator of course).

hope this helps.

Been here, done that...

Its changed a little since then....no longer anonymous and more Karma hits show in the profiles. Basic thing is the same and it remains as pointless as ever.

I gave some of it back

You have to agree though that if the point is to show who are the "reputable" posters, its failing dismally. I say we should enable negative Karma, but its not a popular suggestion

I think the problem is that lots of people have no idea what it is...............after all it took me a whole year to even NOTICE it!! I sat for all that time wondering what the heck those little boxes and stars were......blonde I hasten to add! Posts like these do give me some comfort though that I am not the only dozey-beggar on here.

You have to wonder though - there are so many Karma-floosies!! I think I should become one too . I gave out tonnes of Karma a month ago and do you know how many People returned Karma to me? 2 people . So anyone who feels sorry for me.........please feel free to send me some.

I got some when I announced the birth of my little baby - I do think that is somewhat drastic to get some though

Not only is Willmore not a karma floosie (love the phrase TiaRibbon!!) but she disabled her karma option months ago. Willmore clearly has healthy self esteem and doesn't need our votes

But for the rest of us .....

But for the rest of us .....

LOL....I would never say no to receiving karma if the sender felt it was deserved!
