Default serviced appartments

Can anyone give us some help,we arrive in sydney at the end of feb and need to find to find a short term place for our arrival. We are a family of 5 so a flat would be fine,we have found a few but the prices are so expensive.Homebush bay has come up a few times, does anyone know this area?
We will then need to find somewhere to rent long term as the dog comes out of the kennels and the kids will need to be enrolled at school!!!!!!!!!!!!
So any longer term car hire info would also be a great help, thanks

Hi

You could try www.wotif.com.au nearer the time, or my friend and her family stayed in a gorgeous two-bed apt with city views at Bondi Junction. I can't remember the name, but if you do a search its the ones just by the transit centre there

Not from Sydney I'm afraid, so don't really know - I've stayed in Bondi Junction and in the CBD, both which were fine. If you're staying here longterm, my suggestion would be to stay in either the CBD or near to where you might live. With kids, I would suggest not staying in Kings Cross though, as this particular area as a certain 'cliental'
