Fan!!!! Bloody!!! Tastic!!! Weve got IT!!!!
Hi you lovely People (are we on a high or what)
In the early hours of this morning (2.00am) the whole house was woken from our sleep by the phone ringing and after bumping of several walls & doors managed to answer the phone only to find it was a fax (no paper in it panic! Run to get some) so we sat there waiting for it to print and what a fantastic feeling my wife started to jump in the air we got it!. There it was the grant letter saying that we had been granted our 139 visa ON THE 29th NOVEMBER 2004. But wait, the next bit almost made me S**T my pants they have only given us until 21-jan-2005 to validate GULP!. It came from our agent in Queensland they said they had to let us know the good news and sent it strait away.
Well you who said every thing has to straight forward. I Think a few beers are in order over the next few days.
Just a few words for those of you still waiting , keep your chins up, because when you are at your whit end and fed up with waiting that’s when something will happen . We have waited over 8 months for a 4 -6 month visa and boy what a wait. DIMIA had lodged our application in the wrong class for the first 31/2 months.
Also thank you to every body on the forum for your posts, support and advise it as helped us to get this far and I think the forum will help us get through the next stage when we finaly get out there.

When you say validate the visa, do you mean send your passports to London for the stamp?

Yep you got it. My head is spliting in two now, so i expect after a couple of drinks later we may just get a couple of hours in tonight.
