Smile A little joke to spread some cheer!

Just thought I would share this little joke with you, no offence intended to anyone.

A first grade teacher explained to her class that she is an American.

She asks her students to raise their hands if they too are American.

Not really knowing why, but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like flashy fireworks.

There is however, one execption, a girl names kirsten has not gone along with the crowd.

The teacher asks her why she has chosen to be different.

"Because I'm not American" she replies.

"Then" asks the teacher "what are you?"

"I'm a proud Canadian" replied Kirsten

The teacher is a little put out, her face slightly red, she asks the little girl why she thinks she is canadian.

"Well my mum and dad are Canadian, so I am Canadian too"

The teacher is angry now "That's no reason" she says loudly "what if your mum was a moron and your dad was a moron. What would you be then?"

A pause and a smile "Then" says Kirsten "I'd be an American"

Sorry, couldn't resist passing this on!

Not wanting to start anti american feeling but i heard this today. When NASA first started sending up astronauts, they quickly discovered that ballpoint pens would not work in zero gravity. To combat the problem, NASA scientists spent a decade and $12 billion to develop a pen that writes in zero gravity, upside down, underwater, on almost any surface including glass and at temperatures ranging from below freezing to 300oC....................................
The russians used a pencil....
