I Emailed DIMIA........
......the other night for an update, and why I didn't get an ackowledgment (I know I am an impatient b***ard!!) and guess what reply I got, check this out:
"Given the amount of communication we have had I thought an acknowledgement unnecessary. Your application has already been assessed and is close to finalisation. We are waiting on health results and you will receive a letter shortly."
So I wonder what is coming next, they already have the meds so what do they mean waiting on health results
Could we possible fall at the final hurdle and would they look at the meds if we hadn't passed the initial assessment
But at least it is some news, so people prepare for utter depression
or hopefully absolute celebration

I believe that the medicals are sent to Sydney for assessment and DIMIA have to wait until Sydney say you are clear!!

Nope, we have no medical issues,at least none we know about, apart from being a bit portly round the waist

Our Timeline is this:
Sept 12th 2003: Sent State Nomination
Sept 25th 2003: Received State Nomination
Oct 3rd 2003: Sent TRA
Nov 24th, 2003: Received Approval from TRA
Jun 4th, 2004: Finally sent Visa application with Police certs
Jun 11th, 2004: Medicals Taken & Sent
June 17th 2004: Application Returned from DIMIA then resent
Jun 24th, 2004: Credit card charged
July 14th, 2004: Received file # by email after contacting DIMIA
Sept 7th, 2004: Occupation Added to MODL
Sept 8th, 2004 Changed Application to Standard 136
Good Luck to yourselves, as we took a gamble on changing our application, but I emailed DIMIA a number of times, always very politley and they were kind enough to email back, with good advice.
Time will tell if we have made the right decisions :scared:

I beleive Vicky to be correct in suggesting that they just need reply from Sydney. Your there already mate, signed, sealed and delivered!!!
