Hi everyone,
I haven't been on here for a while as we had A long wait until we got our moving date. We are moving to Calgary on the 11th April, which really isn't that long now.
My husband went over for a visit and picked us a house to rent in the Aspen area. I was wondering what schools are decent nearby. I have two boys , one will be 3 in November, the other 5 in August.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks, Jenny

The designated schools are on this link to Calgary Board of Education. (Assuming you don't want them in Catholic or French Immersion ... if so go back to the CBE website http://www.cbe.ab.ca/schools/community.asp and start again.)

There appears to be an issue of oversubscription to the elementary school, Olympic Heights ...
Kids here don't start school proper until they are 6 normally ........ You should look into Kindergartens though.

edit: Hmmm I see there is a deadline for applications for the 2011/12 school year, which has been extended to April 8th! http://www.cbe.ab.ca/new/extension.asp
Maybe it'd be worth contacting them before you come over if you are to stand a chance of getting a place in the Olympic Heights School (probably your first choice, especially as it takes kids from Kindergarten upwards...)
