I was approved!!!!! again!!!!! Thank God... Everybody was very nice to me at the Embassy today, they were all aware of my case and it was obvious that they fell sorry for me. I met the nice lady that offered to help me on the phone and told me what I needed to do and gave me an emergency appointment yesterday for today. I had bought a little present for her which I gave her just before I left. She looked at it and seemed to really like it but then she said that she really appreciated the gesture but she wasn't allowed to take it.. she said she was there to help, bless her. So I asked her to write down her superior's name for me and promised her that I would send a nice letter, which I intend to do.
I just wish that I had been able to speak to this lady sooner, because until I found her I've been feeling really depressed not being able to even speak to anyone that could tell me what I needed to do to get my visa again. Dealing with the US Embassy has made me feel really frustrated, helpless, misserable.. not to mention how degrading it was to have to beg that Asian woman on the phone last week.. and like if that wasn't bad enough I had to take abuse from her on the phone, she was being soo rude she made me cry but I was still polite to her. I just can't believe that she put the phone down on me in the end, I don't remember feeling such humilliation ever in my life. I feel that if I had been an animal I would have been treated better. Where do they find these people? And how can these people live with themselves? I would not be able to sleep at night if I dared treating another human being like they do.
Anyway, I'll be getting my passport with my visa soon and everybody was very nice today.. and I won't think of that Asian lady any more. She has to live with herself..
I can't believe that I'll finally get to be with my lovely husband again, it has been ages since I last saw him back in May.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that nothing else goes wrong.. I am still worried about identity theft but there isn't much I can do about that.
Thanks again for thinking of me and keeping your fingers (and toes : ) ) crossed. And thank you for your lovely messages and words of encoragment, they are greatly appreciated.
God bless you all.

Yahooo, Ana. Congratulations on your new approval and when does the plane leave for Colorado? I told you that you might be in the US in time to cook your first American Thanksgiving Dinner. WTG.
BTW the Asian woman you spoke of is not a USC. US Consulates/Embassies hire local people to man the phones. When you write the letter regarding the woman who was so helpful, send another with it about the discourteous way you were treated whenever you called.

Yay! I've been cooking Thanksgiving dinners here (they are fun!) but yes, it will be my first Thanksgiving celebration in Colorado, I can't wait! Hopefully I'll get my passport next week and I am flying out in a couple of weeks, on the 18th, just in time for Thanksgiving. I hope that the green card and SSN don't take too long once there. I'd like to start working asap.. and I realise that it will be harder to find a job after xmas.
I will mention that "meanie" in my letter too, she was soo cruel to me I wonder if they are aware of how we are treated by these people that answer the phone. Mind you, it'll just be my word against hers but she deserves to be mentioned.
I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving too!
Ana x
