the xbox will work and uk games will work..however any games purchased in Canada will not work in a UK Xbox and vice versa..i think.

also, if you have xbox live there is no way to pay using a canadian credit card without starting fresh with a new profile
hack the box and play canadian games - you dont HAVE to play copied games

You will definitely need a new power brick, as it doesn't act as a voltage converter.
After bringing my UK xbox, I called up Microsoft, gave them my serial number and they sent me a North American power bar specific to my model, cost around $40 including shipping.
If you connect via HD to an NTSC tv, you will have no problems tv wise, but you can't use the AV option on an NTSC tv.
Not entirely true with regard to Canadian games not working. I'd say the vast majority do work, they just don't advertise the fact.
Check out this site for compatibility information for each game - http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-00-3-x...ide-49-en.html I check this before buying a game out here. Had no trouble yet.
Region 1 DVD's will not work however.
Your XBOX live account remains UK based, so you need a UK credit card to renew.
If you need more advice, give me a shout.

MS sent me two bricks though in the end, as the 1st one had a massive hole in the cable...
You have to be careful too, as I think there are now 3 different types of XBOX, each with a different motherboard, and so a different type of power brick and connector plug to the xbox. I posted a picture of the different types of plug in a thread about a year ago.
