Default Will our LCD tv's from UK work in Australia

We have looked at a few websites, some say British televisions will work in Australia, and others say they won't? Does anyone know for sure, since our tv's are only 7 months old and will lose if we have to sell them here?
Thanks

Hi again
Paid £1600 for the large one, and about £300 for the smaller one. Will ship them if they work okay as still have original packaging? Has anyone from uk brought theirs with them?

They 'should' work. You may have to buy a set top box to get any sound though. You can pick them up from places like the good guys, dick smiths, Kmart, bigw etc for about $150+

Are they widescreen? if they are then you need a stb to get widescreen broadcasts anyway(UK or OZ) so they will work as your not going to use the inbuilt (analog) tuner.

Yes they are widescreen, HD ready. Will probably get foxtel when we get there, so do you think that will work? Many thanks for your advice.
