The day before all our friends come round for Christmas dinner and my downstairs toilet chooses to block.

Have attacked it with a plunger but to no avail.... anyone know a good plumber or handyman that will come to the springs?

Sorry but can't help, but what I found that when mine blocked I took the floor drain out and unblocked the gunk from there, that was where the problem was....good luck

So I called and spoke with Dean... very helpful guy and he is coming to see the house to discuss painting it... he asked how I got his number and was delighted when I told him...

Plumbing wise... I fixed it with a wire coat hanger, and more vigorous plunging.. not pleasant..
