Default Converting a .caf file into mp3?

I am a technical !DOH! I have a file which was created on quickvoice on my iphone, I accidently deleted it from the phone but it still remains on my computer, yet I can't get it back onto my quickvoice. So in short, if I had it as an mp3 I could just keep it in my itunes. (It's a song that my school in Northern Ireland made and sung to me on the day I left so is very precious! )

That's what happens when you buy Apple products. They always find a way to shaft you!

Give this a go, it's a free trial version:

<Deleted ... It doesn't support CAF in the trial version>

I imagine that you will love them right up to the point that you can't get your .CAF file converted

Rightyho, the thing to use is a free audio editor called "Audacity", it's available for Mac and Windows:

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows

To save to MP3 is a little bit of a faff (you need to find the Lame MP3 encoder 'lame_enc.dll', mine was in C:\Windows\system32).

MP3 on it's way

And you are having file problems... It wouldn't be so bad if Apple didn't lock you into their formats.

A bit of file conversion is hardly locking in ... I have a Windows box at home but I still like my iThing.

Doesn't have to be one or the other ...

Wasn't talking about just file formats.

Remind me how many of you live in the house?
Is it a case of his and hers and ours for the iphones?
