Hi will be over in Toronto on a reccie in 2 weeks. While I am there I want to buy a hair dryer & straightener's. Can any one suggest a good brand name for straighteners I want something similar to GHD's but dont really want to buy another pair of GHD's just yet - Got to look after the dollars
Any advise would be gratefully recieved

They don't heat up as quickly but they do the trick.

Really!!
More money to spend on something else then
Thanks for the tip
I am so excited about going out on this reccie, I think it going to be a shopping spree, I can leave what I buy with friends in Mississauga.

I've seen straighteners like GHD but i can't remember the name now...but don't worry, your own ones will do fine

I've just bought some pretty good ones from Winners for $34.99. The brand name is CORTEX.

Anyway they're dual voltage so your UK ones should work in Canada no problem.

I plan on selling my old ones and buying a new set - apparently the new ones come with dual voltage so they work properly - I nearly died a few years ago when I took my current ones over and could not use them as the power was not coming through!! LOL!!

The GHD mark 4's are the dual voltage ones and work fine in Canada (I actually thought a little better but could have been my imagination)

I noticed that my new hairdresser was using GHD's so you should be fine!

Hi I don't think you can get GHD'S here but I bought CHI's they are just as good heat up in seconds and look exactly the same. A friend gave me her GHD's and I used them for a wee while with an adapter, but I guess they didn't like that much cos they stopped heating up properly.
