Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
I have submitted all my documents and forms to my MARA agent. I am on a 175/ CSL (Chemical Engineer)/125 points total. Submitted also my police checks from FBI ( USA ) and from my country. I will probably do my medical in 3 months time. My agent is planning to submit it to Adelaide ( for paper based ). I will just wait for the next move.

hi H2fusion
it will be better to consider online application instead of paper based if there is no difficulties for your agent to do that , .. i think it will be faster in processing as will as communication than paper based App.!!

Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
Hi Nashr. Thanks for the advice. I have noticed that there backlogs of e visa application. Because of this, the paper based is being approved faster than the e visa. I am kind of confused now. I actually want the evisa application but if paper based if all your documents are ready, CO can see it right away if those are met. Let's see. I have not heard from my agent yet as he is still reviewing it. I live in the US and evisa is more favorable on my side.
Can you tell me if you have heard a lot of e visa applicants have been approved faster than the paper based? Hope to hear.

Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
I have read that as well but for some reason when I talked to my agent, he wants to file it paper based. I have sent all my certified in Australia where my agent is located. I dont mind filing it myself and since he has all the documents I guess I have no choice. I will email him if he can do it online so I can check it myself as well and prepare other documents needed if necessary. Thanks

Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
Rejuvenating this seemingly dead thread...I filed my application yesterday and the credit card has been charged. So it means that I have done my bit and the ball lies in DIAC’s court now.
Its been an ordeal for me since I started by assessment process. I took my IELTS in Sep ,got my assessment(+ve) in Feb and finally lodged yday. I have an engineering assessment and SOL occupation is prog analyst where I have worked for 4.5 years. I am from India and filed a paper app. This is a wonderful forum and I can help in every way if somebody has any queries…

Hi all May 2009 Applicants,
I have a simple query.
Were you poeple asked to submit the online character assessement form right after the fee submission.
Such link appears on your status page.
I am Aug-2008 applicant and asked to complete now by my case officer.
Please share.

Re: May 2009 Visa Applicants
As already mentioned, i have applied online on 19-May. Now i've to upload all the relevant documents. I need clearance in understanding the following:
1. What if i have same document for two kind of 'document type'. for example, same scanned copy of my passport can be used for following types of documents
a. Copy of passport containing personal details
b. Birth certificate or other evidence of age.
c. Passport photo
2. Similary, i am unable to find the difference between the following:
a. Evidence of skills assessment
b. Evidence of suitable skills assessment
a. Evidence of work experience
b. Evidence of specific work experience
3. It require to submit for 1221 (Additional Personal Particulars Information) for the secondary applicant (i.e. my wife). But this form contains so much information that is not relevent to secondary applicants.
Can any1 put some light on the above. An early reply will oblige me a lot.
Thanks,
JohnWalvet.
