Default 1st Ashes Test, Lords

Australia 97-5 LUNCH

Well what a start to the 1st Test by the England bowlers!!

The Ashes certainly isn't won in the first morning but the Aussies will now know they are in a game
Keep going boys it's been a long wait for this

We arrive in Melbourne 25th August and will be watching the last 2 test matches in OZ so it would be great for the series to still be alive.

Come on England!!

Andrew

Aye Harmi has bowled with fantastic hostility this morning.

He's a Newcastle United season ticket holder as well, what a star he is

Looks like our boys are a bit too fast for them. 1 or 2 bruises so I hear.

Harmi hit Langer above the elbow 2nd ball of the day which caused a massive bruise.
And then Harmi hit Ponting on the helmet with a really fast ball which cut him below eye.

'The Ashington Express' is roaring in to Lords today

I'm well chuffed for the lad especially after he struggled for form in South Africa last winter.

The afternoon session has started...

The fightback is on

If we can skittle them for less than 275 and make 400 ourselves we have a "real" chance...
