I didn't have any problems with my order, what a bummer for u If you had the full address with post code then surely someone else is accountable for this mistake...if i was you i'd e-mail M&S leave the parcel in Auckland & when you get an apology re-order Tray

This new levy only came out in July 2010 which explains why it didn't affect us, so it wasn't down to luck after all! thanks for the link it's useful to know

I put together a list of retailers who provide low cost or free delivery internationally (most do NZ). The link is in my signature. Let me know what you think. I'll be adding a page on transferring money soon.

so is it worth it???
Crikey I knew you had to be a BIT careful, but I wasn't aware that this had changed. Those extra charges will certainly be making me a LOT careful.

It means from 1st October when the GST goes up to 15% the maximum you can spend on clothes would have to be less than 70 quid, or you'll get hit with the whole shooting match.

Even before the changes came into place this still would have happened, almost certainly anything over NZ$400 would be held by Customs until payment of the Import Fees and GST is made.

Depends what you are buying, Amazon can sometimes be cheaper if you are buying a few books. Definitely cheaper on most DVDs, we recently bought 3 from Amazon for $24.49 incl. delivery, equivalent from CD Wow $76.
CD's - Itunes.

I think if your order is small then it's fine,as my M&S order came in August too and I was ok.Also just had a cuople of e-books arrive from uk amazon and we were ok there too which is strange as it was over 400 maybe it was because they were giftsTray
