Salaries, interest rates and other boring stuff
So exchange rates lower against most currencies after the Guv' said all was not well in t-'conomy!
Luckily GBP is also weakening in parallel, as they realise this brexit negotiation stuff isn't such a lark, so you can still go on you hollibobs to the UK!
Some people have concluded in New Zealand that it's a rapidly rising cost of living causing all the trouble and other think it's the gubbermint. Even the prime minister before last has chimed in saying it's just a normal part of the economic cycle. So...no one has a clue really.
I might defer replacing the old banger for a year or two, really want a nice used motor but if there is a recession I'm not sure my new gig is safe. Better to keep more of the powder dry perhaps and see what's what first.
What about you lot? Looking at upgrading the private jet, off on holiday abroad, planning to pack up the tent and some peanut bugger sandwiches over the summer?

I don't understand why anybody would want to 'go abroad'. Morons.
