Without doing a full investigative trial, I think it's pretty dark in my fridge anyway, assuming that the light does go out when I shut the door.

For years I've been a bovine lactate philistine Bo. We're just as bad as the people buying $7 bottles of wine at pak 'n' slave!

Whilst light does reduce the Riboflavin (Vit B2) content in milk, I think we all know that this is a con-trick* by Fonterra to keep us paying the ludicrous cost for it's products.
*Erm, I obviously meant marketing ploy!

The study was conducted using intense UV lights and direct exposure. UV light doesn't travel through HDPE bottles much and generally I keep milk in the refrigerator. This isn't even a solution to a non-existent problem, it's creating a problem because people can't see how much milk they have left.
I wish they'd indent the sides with a measure though so you could see how many mL/calories you where consuming.

My mum has started buying another brand because she likes to be able to see how much milk she has left in the bottle. I think she has a point.

Clearly many people don't follow the same thinking, otherwise the sales of Anchor milk would be zero.
I don't understand why people pay $1 more per 2 litre carton of milk with a brand on it. Milk is milk, it's made by cows, so who cares what label later gets slapped on the bottle.
