If I entered a roundabout in reverse with my eyes shut, the outcome would be better than a Kiwi driving normally :-)

I swear that half of Auckland's traffic woes would be solved if they just scrapped all the roundabouts - you can guarantee there will be an unnecessary queue a mile long at almost every one. It's like magic and no coincidence that the road becomes absolutely clear as soon as you get past the the roundabout.

There are two roundabouts near the entrance to the place I work. One morning I followed a car through them, that car indicated correctly onto and off both those roundabouts and I thought 'look at that! - some of them can do it.'
Then I followed the car into the car park and when it stopped I realised that it was one of my colleagues who was a new immigrant from Hong Kong and had only just learned to drive.

Very well. Just wish Kiwis understood how to use them, how to approach them safely, how to indicate properly om approach if required and whilst using one. Even the cops in Whangaparaoa have problems with this!
