"Heatwave"! Is scorchio back?
 
Sunnies and sun screen at the ready:
A heatwave is heading straight for New Zealand after bringing scorching temperatures to Australia.

The heatwave on Saturday in Sydney will drift over the Tasman Sea to the South Island on Sunday, then the North Island on Monday.

Please please let's have some scorchio.

It has been a very long cold wet windy winter. Even today we are totally sogged out .

Scorchio will be most welcome before the late Spting , early Summer Xmas rains.

Lobbing it down in Marlborough, again. Been a horrible soggy week. Veg garden looking sad, but everything is hanging on. Bring on the sun tomorrow. Been so bored I have even been on BE for a change! :)

Interestingly the article doesn't actually specify which day :rofl:

Having just checked out our local forecast all I can see for the next ten days is nothing more optimistic than a few brief spells of 'fine' smattered amongst many episodes of mostly cloudy, rain, showers and south westerly breezes. :(
