Re: Salaries question

Just a shame you missed the good days, which were well on the wane by the time you reached these shores in 2005. I'm struggling to think of a single thing that has improved since 2005. I'd hate to be...

Re: Salaries question

Yes I did mean the South Coast of England. As I was replying to an English person, I didn't think to elaborate. But yes there is a South Cost in WA. I previously lived there. I entertained the idea...

Re: Salaries question

I'm increasingly arriving at that conclusion as well. Australia is somewhat past its sell by date. Way too expensive. Declining living standards. And lots more I could mention . I've been looking at...

Re: Happy Christmas Queensland!!

If it helps you not to feel bad, embarrassed or otherwise disadvantaged, (as it appears) it could be argued QLD CHO has contributed to your well being, enormously.

Re: Have you been jabbed?

So arise. The Enlightenment was a period long since past. Don't wait for a rerun. I doubt any TV station will be showing repeat episodes.

Re: Have you been jabbed?

Poor fellow indeed. A diet of dirt with a habitat of permanent darkness , to be fair, would likely drive the best of us to utter despair . But the wish for misfortune on others is pure evil....

Re: Have you been jabbed?

You've had your breath. You'll have noticed little enticing enough to remain surfaced. I'd probably agree, best return to the dark recesses where no one of sound mind would venture. A caricature from...

Re: Have you been jabbed?

Well who would have guessed? But not to worry when so low rollicking in the bowels of the earth for so long the only way is up. Even if only for a breath of air.

Re: Have you been jabbed?

Odd how the ultra's regard democracy only is relevant if coming wrapped in right wing rhetoric.

Re: Want to move back to Aus

There are so many things. But for now the growth of the black economy in drug production among professionals, Uni students, Middle Aged and older folk in my location, has awoken me to just how...

Re: Want to move back to Aus

And people have the time or interest here in Australia towards others? I agree there is more negativity in UK but same applies to much of Europe. Australia does IMO appear often to be somewhat naïve...

Re: Finally come back after 14 years

I agree in part, but that is something very different from what I was referring. Always 'doing' infers limited time to reflect or converse or just be. Out on the land, necessity made for very...

Re: Finally come back after 14 years

Well London is expensive but museums are free. (I expect they still are) Walkability levels are high compared to Australian cities, easy enough to take a coach (often very cheap) to seaside, or most...

Re: Finally come back after 14 years

I did look and UK is at 106. One ahead of Chad as I recall. Don't remember the country in front (too many to recall) But then nobody is claiming UK is tops, but some lay claim that Australia is in...

Re: Want to move back to Aus

Re: Finally come back after 14 years

I think most do just that. With the Coruna Virus, so many are now visiting areas within Australia, or own state that have never visited, or not for a very long time. Why do it when nearby is so cheap...

Re: Finally come back after 14 years

Re: Finally come back after 14 years
