As you can see, personal choice really. I brought my Mercedes ’ B class over. I got it for a good price in the uk. Same Lhd model here, same age, nearly double the price. Cost 870€ to matriculate....

if you take your lump sum and you are Spanish resident you will be taxed on it. The “tax free” bit is only if you are. Uk tax payer. I took mine the year before I became a tax resident in Spain,...

I looked a buying a Lhd, in Spain. Prices were just too much. I bought a second hand Mercedes B class, the equivalent in Spain similar mileage etc was 7000€ more. Matriculated mine, cost was 900€....

no never was on convenio especial. However I know friends who were but now on Uhc.
went on Uhc, straight from private medical insurance.
also just had my card renewed/updated for my new medication

if resident in Spain why are you taxed in Uk? I think we’re taking away choices and freedom from our children and grandchildren that we had, and I don’t think that’s fair.

Most don’t talk about it, however some see the English in particular as stupid, call themselves “ex-pats” not immigrants and can’t/won’t learn the language.
