Re: Anyone have any experience with Tennancy Tribunal NSW?

I'd take it to Today Tonight as well. In the meantime, make sure you have not only photographic evidence, but independent witnesses who can back you up.
Did you and the estate agent do a condition...

Re: Are immigrants disliked in Australia??

Sydney 327.6mm? Pfft, it gets that in January and February.

Its annual rainfall is 1214mm - the highest for any capital in Australia apart from Darwin.

Re: compulsory citizen test on the agenda

Not all migrants are subject to that test. No refugee is. Well, that's the refugees we kindly don't throw overboard or imprison for 60 years.

Re: Would you give up being an British Citizen to become Australian Citizen

Actually, this Mike Stanton individual has a point. With UK citizenship, you can move to Lithuania and you can enter Ukraine visa-free.

Which will be good as they're probably the last two places...

Re: Where on the Northern NSW Coast?

Evans Head.

The other places people have mentioned are either retirement ghettoes or centres of counter-culturalism.

Evans Head has beaches and views as good as any Ballina or Ocean Shores,...

Re: Would you give up being an British Citizen to become Australian Citizen

You mispelled "Islamic Caliphates", which is what your weak and liberal Eurabia is turning into.

Enjoy being a foreigner in your own country mate.

Re: Would you give up being an British Citizen to become Australian Citizen

The US's "permanent" residence only lasts 10 years. At the end of that, you need to go through the procedure again, which makes Australia's visa system look like Narnia's.

Great way to encourage...

Re: Quitting Smoking (Any Tips From Ex-Smokers Gratefully Appreciated)

My way of quitting fails 90% of the time according to some statistics I've read, but just quit cold turkey. Wake up one day and say fuggit. Mind you, you have to really want to quit, and not do it...

Re: Daylight Savings

At least the States and Territories here uniformally follow (or don't follow) Daylight Saving. In the US, you have individual cities that don't follow it. From memory, Indianapolis doesn't have DST...

Re: Australian dream has turned into nightmare

More likely Asian or Eastern European migrants. You don't seriously expect the British or their descendents to want to put in 12 hour+ days, do you?

Re: where to live Gold Coast, Brisbane or Logan?

Yes, that place fits between Woodridge and Kingston. Forgot all about dear old Loganlea.

I notice there's a bit of "gentrification" going on there. A new suburb, no less, called Meadowbrook has...
