Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

The more I read it the more I thought that too.

Advice heeded, but I have to go through recruitment agents for IT Developer jobs, so a bit trickier.

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

I have not forgotten the advice from everyone regarding "Only one way to find out and that is too apply for an RRV", but I was quite surprised to receive this response for a registered migration...

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

Thanks for that. Has put my mind at rest a little regarding having to have a job offer in the bag. I wonder whether emails from recruitment agents who are trying to find me a role might be enough....

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

Bit difficult at the moment as, unfortunately, I don't currently have a letter of employment so I suspect RRV would be declined :-(

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

Many thanks all. Just need some of those job applications to turn into interviews.

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

Agreed. But getting a job offer is pretty hard going. Lots of competition and would be gutting to put all the effort in to securing a job offer only to then find out an RRV will not be granted. I...

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

Is there anyway of getting a definite idea. Fair or good does provide some hope, but it's not 100%

In a nutshell yes. Which is very frustrating as 2 years ago when I was offered a role in...

Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

Ok. I don't want to get into a long conversation as to why we never made the move whilst our Class 175 visa was valid, but I am trying to ascertain whether although circumstances have now changed...

Re: RRV after PR visa expiry, but for job in NZ?

Ok. One final question and I'll put this one to bed. I am looking at leaving the corporate sector and going back to my roots as a furniture maker / carpenter. Although my visa was granted for IT,...

RRV after PR visa expiry, but for job in NZ?

As most of you will know, our PR visa expired April 2015 and we don't meet the criteria for an RRV. A potential job opportunity in NZ has come about and I wonder whether a job offer from an NZ...

Re: Campervan Collision Damage Waiver Insurance?

I decided to search Australian companies who may offer the service and found a company who will reduce the excess to $300 for the cost of $5/day

That brings it down considerably

Re: Campervan Collision Damage Waiver Insurance?

Thanks. I was hoping someone might have a link to a 3rd party provider for excess insurance. The hire company charge to reduce the excess down to $0 is $35/day. Which is a lot of money

Hi All,

I have hired a campervan for a 3 week trip to Perth for a few weeks time. There is a $2500 AUD collision damage excess and I was going to buy a policy here in the UK to cover me for the...

That is a very interesting reply. I never realised that my purpose in life is to please others. I have no idea how old you are or whether you have kids, but telling a 41 year old that they should...

I am conscious that in just over 18 months...

Chances of an extension to Skilled Migrant Visa?

I suspect this is a no, but our Class 175 Visa expires April 2015 and I want to go and study a part time Msc over 2 years. That will mean the course will not complete until after the visa has...

Re: Can I get an extension to class 175 visa even though not residing in Aus?

Given that we have no family in Australia and we have only spent 3 weeks there whilst we activated the visa, I think the likelihood of getting an extension is pretty slim. The only reason I was...

Hi,

Activated visa 2 years ago and have 2.5 years left before the 5 year expiry period is reached and was wondering whether I can get an extension to this or whether it is a hard and fast rule?
