Re: Salaries question

We live in Scotland and earn around £130k gross PA. Cost of living is less here but the weather is depressing as hell and with Brexit and the likelihood of the UK breaking up I can see things getting...

Salaries question

Hi all,

Apologies if this is naive and I know it's probably asked a lot. We're getting close to making the decision to go or not, my wife has a solid offer with visa sponsorship and I've got a...

Re: Adelaide suburb advice

Either beach or hills to be honest, I prefer beach and my wife prefers hills! Want somewhere that has plenty of outdoor activities for the kids.

Re: Moving back to NZ

Ah there's the problem! Yes I read it as 3 x the income required including conversion as opposed to 3 x GBP number to same number in NZD.

So maybe only get to fill one shelf of the fridge with...

Re: Moving back to NZ

As would many in the UK!

It's one of those comparing apples and oranges things and a trap that a lot of people, me included, fall into when thinking about the move.

And while I admit that when...

Re: Moving back to NZ

Surely that's the same thing, 3 x to be comfortable.

Sorry, I used the NZ figure for my example as it's actually quite difficult to compare the raw numbers between UK and NZ. The UK ONS quote...

With that kind of money...

Re: Had Accident but doesn't want to pay

Re: Herald reporting house prices

The prices in that article are absolutely eye watering. How does anyone ever afford to buy a house when the prices are so high?

Re: UK v NZ grocery shopping comparison

Ouch.

In the interest of fairness, Aldi are very cheap even compared the average UK supermarket and as you've said they only have a limited stock. Unless you wan't to buy a cheap wet suit or drill...

Re: Wellington advice

Quite like that one, always a nice way to see snap shots of certain areas.
