Re: Is it really impossible to relocate as a qualified teacher?

Many school districts are actually unable to fill positions. That doesn’t change the facts that:
- getting visa / green card will be difficult
- pathway that involves partner working within a...

Re: Is it really impossible to relocate as a qualified teacher?

Re: Is it really impossible to relocate as a qualified teacher?

It is not impossible for state schools, but it is rare. The following article talks about some who came to New Mexico. Most of these came on J-1 visas - not a great idea as you can read in the text....

Re: E2 essential employee visa denied

More pure speculation: 16-17 suggests a boilerplate application. Maybe the interviewer had seen one too many.

Re: KANSAS CITY MISSOURI

FWIW, I’m in KC frequently on short trips and could maybe attend a gathering once in a while. I’m not there next week though. 😉

Re: Tips for traveling safely on the Tube

Fairly common these days. Most of my cards are contactless. I think a lot of people have them and don't even know it.

Re: Why TESCO failed the USA

The US is quite slow on these aspects. They still haven’t made a dollar coin stick in a practical sense, many employees still want to be tipped so they have a chance of earning more, old folks (and...

I also agree. While there are jobs in the US advertised as ‘Quantity Surveyor’, that work scope is typically packaged up with related activities such as scheduling and earned value management, then...

Re: Buying a replacement car on credit.

Best bet is to walk in able to make a cash offer, or with a loan ready to go from somewhere else. Dealers are strongly incentivized to sell financing and you might be able to swing a deal on their...

Bah. If (a) you’ve been in the US too long, and (b) you’re management material, then you’ll know how to redefine ‘productivity’.
