Just over a week ago, whilst I was stopped waiting at a red light, a car driving too fast to make a right turn, turned too wide and turned into my car. My car is scratched and dented all down the...

Re: Advice on keeping UK address whilst away

We’re living over here on a temporary basis. We have kept our UK bank accounts with our UK address (our house is also rented out). Any credit issues go on the tenants name not the house. We have a...

Hi, just seen this. I guess from your name you’re in Exton, PA.
My husband and I live in West Chester (Exton side). We’re from the UK and moved here last August and are here for 2 years. We have 2...

Ok - I didn’t post to find out how long I can drive in PA for on a UK license and didn’t intend to cause such a debate.

Thank you for all the responses. Both PA DMV and PennDOT have confirmed...

Re: Can I drive myself to my road test?

I guess it’s down to interpretation. You can argue it is an out of state license as it’s not a PA license, but on the other hand, the UK isn’t a state and you can’t exchange the license as you could...

Re: Can I drive myself to my road test?

It actually says new residents with out of state licenses have 60 days not those with foreign licenses. I agree it’s confusing. The DMV put me into PennDOT as they weren’t sure and PennDOT confirmed...

Re: Can I drive myself to my road test?

That’s for out of state licenses. In PA it’s a year. I even checked with PennDot and there response is
‘You may drive a vehicle in Pennsylvania with your UK driver’s license for one year from your...

Re: Can I drive myself to my road test?

Thanks - I don’t plan on handing it over I just wasn’t sure if I could drive myself and show my UK license and hope they don’t ask me for it! It only says they take out if state licenses so would say...

Re: Can I drive myself to my road test?

In PA you can drive on a foreign license for a year so I’ve got plenty of time to get the road test done.
