Are there any "local" clubs etc that you could join, I really like my work colleagues but I have always kept work and leisure separate..but that's me... we made a lot of friends through our children...

That's no wholly correct, we have rolling dales, the flat lands, Moors, flat sandy beaches, coves and dramatic cliffs and all offer different forna and flora and views certainly do differ between...

What we do then is nip across to the med countries and enjoy their lovely weather, these last few years we have enjoyed really nice summers so we have stayed in the UK and holidayed here

The first eclipse I have saw was in Perth WA in the 90's and it was just fab.we had a full near to the planet for us last night here in the UK and its was just lovely to see it.
