I am really not too sure. But let me find this post on Canada Visa. I have found that blog very helpful. Ask SinpGuy or Troganman, TAnoshi. They are all very helpful.

Just read others experiences and gauge from that. Everyone has their timelines posted there. And there is something knowna s GCMS/CAPIS notes maybe you should request that.

There is another thread on Canada Visa, and my understanding is:

Individual Applicant - Super Fast 3-4 months
Families - 6-7 months

They had sent that email for PPR on 20 Dec 2011 but I received it on 4 Jan 2012. I do not understand their method of operation.

Did you receive it from Ottawa - if so you will have PPR in min 3 months and chances of them requesting additional docs are less.

No worries! I understand your situation. Its not easy. By boyfriends file hasnt even been opened yet. So its not all great here as well.

I suppose its all about timing - police clearance and...

I had replied to a reminder message they had sent to me a while back and requested an update. Medicals had been received by their office office 2 days before the Reminder Email was sent...

I hope you get yours soon. I have my fingers crossed for everyone. My passport should reach them on the 11 and we will see how they go from there.

I couldn't stop smiling! It has just happened so quickly... I am still on my post graduate work permit (validity -14 months). Its amazing how things figure out sometimes.

Just 3 months. I had applied on Sept 28 and received Medicals and AOR on Nov 4. Medicals were received mid dec and Request for passport on 4 Jan

Ok, my boyfriend had sent his documents to CIC Buffalo (his nomination had said so) on 28th November afternoon and it arrived on 30 Nov-1 Dec (I am not certain). He had done so using the checklist...

Good news for me, my medical results have been received. I do not believe, ppr can come so soon. So I am just going to sit tight and not get super excited.

If I was you I would be in the Doc's office. My doc had sent them out in 2 days. I had completed my tests on Saturday and she had sent them out on Tuesday.

I would be livid if that happened to me.

From what I understand:

My Ecas says they started processing my file on 22 Nov while my medical request was sent to me on 4 Nov. So I believe they just send med request to people that have...
