There are plenty of nice bars in the Octagon, spoilt for choice really. I'm trying out the Duke of Wellington...

Talk to anyone from Christchurch 12 months ago and they would have said it's not a earthquake area. I think it could happen anywhere in the country, its not the shaky isles for nothing!

Not sure if this helps, but we didn't want the hassle of carrying car seats, plus luggage plus 3 kids onto the planes and around the airports. The hire car company who we used actually lent us...
