Re: AOR from London August/September 2010 - Progress updates

Re: Landing in Van, connect to Vic on the fly (!)

Thanks all

Yes - we went via Harbor Air last year, and that (luggage allowance) is one reason I had decided not to go with them - I remembered the luggage allowance (which was fine for holiday,...

Landing in Van, connect to Vic on the fly (!)

So booked flights to land in Vancouver and then onto Victoria.

We land around 17.20 and I have estimated 2-3 hrs in immigration/baggage claim, etc. Would you say that was about fair (those who...

Re: AOR from London August/September 2010 - Progress updates

Well done and agree - get your bank draft ordered. I bank with Barclays and Lloyds, and Barclays quoted 3 days, whereas Lloyds wanted me to fill out a form to fax over and it could take 7-10 days! ...

Re: FSW employer letters

I too had a 'varied' work history! I would say something from 18 months ago would be fine - I would have used that, certainly. Just explain on a separate piece of paper, as you mentioned. I would...

Re: FSW employer letters

Although a while ago now, I had a couple of jobs like this, including one no longer operating. You include the letter / email they sent you (presuming they did!) stating just that, and I added an...

Re: AOR from London August/September 2010 - Progress updates

..Yes thanks! But we don't necessarily want this money to be eaten up immediately whilst we panic at not having any money coming in! I wouldn't want both myself and OH to be without an income here,...

Re: AOR from London August/September 2010 - Progress updates

I am pretty sure it doesn't matter. I imagine the most you might get is a question as to why Van now rather than Calgary, but I doubt even that TBH.

On my COPR it says I am married, and on OH's...
