But posting as a "Super Moderator" in a specific country thread, with an inherent bias against the desirability of relocating to that...

Re: Moving to Brisbane

North Lakes is a decent bet; lots of Brits, a variety of recently-built housing stock in your general price range.

But if the airport run is going to be at all frequent, you might look harder at...

Re: Moving to Brisbane

So, now that previous posters on the thread have perhaps beat to death the "football codes" argument , can you perhaps tell us more about where you want to live in other respects, e.g.
-...

Re: real estate prices in Canada sustainable?

So, like, I was trying to understand where this thread was at, after a long time away. And it looks like one of its major protagonists has been recently ghosted. Not my bestie or nothin', but just...

Re: Me and My Family

Truly, this thread deserves to become a film or a reality TV series. And Philosophical 11, and his erstwhile "wife", would likely both benefit if they played their cards right, gaining cash and...

Re: Favourite Christmas present as a youngster

A scale-model of a sports car: a "DeTomaso Mangusta 5000", received at age 5. Hooked me on cars forever afterwards--much to my financial detriment, tbh. But I've loved nearly all of them...

Re: real estate prices in Canada sustainable?

The problem with any "not complicated" political/economic plan to correct some 'Bad Thing', that involves 6 different steps, is that that's 4 - 5 steps too many.

Each separate step pisses off some...

Re: Cost of a return flight to London from Brisbane

I wouldn't go near HK for a layover, or any other Chinese city. Way too much (i.e. non-zero) random political risk, from a country that clearly has it in for Oz at the moment, and has recent form in...
