ANMAC letter of determination

This has yet to arrive (nearly 3 weeks now) and ANMAC are wanting $60 and me to post them a form before they will issue another one.

Is it just me or is it ridiculous that the cost of this is on...

Re: Scotland and Independance

The same media who lambasted him when PM, were all too happy to herald him as the unions saviour, despite being an opposition backbencher. Amazing really.

Re: Scotland and Independance

Why were they more likely to vote yes?

Off the top of my head 18 - 24 vote no, just. While 25 - 50 when broken down further vote yes. Bit surprised by that.

No doubt the over 50 vote won it...

Re: Scotland and Independance

The no victory was in no way emphatic IMO so yes let's agree to disagree on that point.

Ah Braveheart. Doesn't take long for someone to mention it.

After watching the teenagers debate before...

Re: Scotland and Independance

I Don't think I'm overplaying it. Nor to I think a swing of 192k voters is a sizeable majority.
The fact 45% or 1.6 million voted to end the union is a damning opinion on how Westminster governs...

Re: Scotland and Independance

The gap narrowed slowly from the beginning. We probably will never know how much influence the promise of more powers had on some voters, however Westminster must have been worried enough to make...

Re: Scotland and Independance

Probably.

Can't believe so many bought Lord Brown's bullshit and nobody from the media questioned how a Labour backbencher to make such promises.

Like I said above, it's the manner of the no...

Re: Scotland and Independance

I think it would be a mistake to push for another referendum too soon. Especially in 2016. They have to let Westminster deliver on their promises. Not enough would have changed to secure a strong YES...

Re: Scotland and Independance

As much as I believe that independence is the best way for things in Scotland (and the rest of the UK) to improve, I could accept that the majority of Scotland disagree. However my issue with 55%...

Re: Scotland and Independance

I'd argue that the union is breaking Scotland (and many parts of the rest of the UK)

Say what you will about Salmond but I believe he had Scotland's best interests at heart, unlike Brown, Darling...

Re: Scotland and Independance

Oil for any country is a huge bonus for its economy, except in Scotland, it's a burden for an independent Scotland.

The media, big business and Westminster have went into overdrive now. Be...

Re: Scotland and Independance

I neither wish for a left or right for Scotland. I just believe that Scotland, as a country should make its own decisions, elect it's own government and control it's own affairs.

There's no left...

Haha Labour are heavy socialists? Not in a long time has that been the case and there's an argument they have never been, well not in my life time.

SNP are left of centre but that can easily...

The oil certainly isn't. New site descovered at Clair Ridge recently and there's been rumours for years of potential oil at the Faselane navel base that can be explored when Trident is removed.

Re: Scotland and Independance

Best thing for everyone (apart from Westminster and the establishment) if Scotland votes yes. The union doesn't work and hasn't for a very long time.

So proud of Scotland and the people who've...

Anyway, working holiday visa is probably the...
