As a UK qualified accountant, you would still need to do the CPA exams in order to be recognised as a qualified accountant - there is no easy conversion, but the CPA...

Great, thanks. Spoke with the Hartford, and got the policy cost reduced significantly from online quotes (sometimes online isn't better ;))

Now you have me thinking! I have been non-resident for >5 years, no work related activities in the UK, but do have rental income, on which I receive no personal allowance and taxed at 20%.....hhmmmmm
