Re: Puglia

Elite Puglia wound up earlier this year and handed everything over to La Tua Immobiliare. They worked closely so it's a pretty seamless transition.

Re: feed back on Maella, Spain

I'm guessing the OP has it covered or gave up after nearly a year of inactivity. But I'm sure the property Carlos is trying to sell is nowhere near the windmills, which is a shame as windmills are...

Re: vaccine passport plans

[QUOTE=clint;13057906]
That's correct, we have a few people at work in a similar position. I went to the office for the first time in ages last week and the measures being taken are out of this...

Re: Puglia

It's certainly a European agency trait as they get paid by both parties, hence the reluctance to show other properties. I found it better to use a recommended agent, give them a list of the...

Re: Aukus

I tried to avoid this thread as it's got nothing to do with British expats in Spain but you guys need to understand the difference between a migrant, an illegal immigrant, a refugee and an asylum...

Re: Small family cost of living - Madrid

Please don't mention Valencia, Madrid and football in the same sentence again this week. I had the pleasure of sitting next to a Real Madrid fan on Sunday night. He was a very gracious winner....

Re: Small family cost of living - Madrid

I'm curious, where do you/did you live in Spain? I only have weekend visits to compare it with other cities but would recommend it compared to other European cities. I have colleagues in Madrid,...

Re: Small family cost of living - Madrid

Moody teens I can vouch for. If already in the private system they make friends easily as they all seem to have mutual friends, even in different countries. Here's a list here of schools in both...

Re: Small family cost of living - Madrid

I wouldn't think 90k is high for an exec in Madrid. That number will be low because the the small and medium tech firms give executive titles to lower paid workers. The Tik Tok generation are...

Re: Non lucrative visa

You piqued my curiosity with this one Fred. Does this mean you can get the visa to come and go as you please without becoming a tax resident? So could you spend 182 days in Spain, and 183/4 days...

Re: Small family cost of living - Madrid

Funnily enough I just booked a flight from there to Stansted. Once Wizzair stop cancelling every other flight it's handy for me as they will fly to Luton and the bonus is the free car park.

Re: Small family cost of living - Madrid

To give you the Valencia comparison. Rent will cost 800 upwards but if you're considering private schools as well I guess you want to live somewhere nice. City centre apartments with 2/3 bedrooms...

Re: Window Bars

I don't think it's that bad in Spain. That was the practice for holiday homes in Southern Italy, along with cutting holes in garage doors. My only bad experience in Spain was being mugged which was...

Re: Funeral protocol

As Modicasa says, generally people go in what they are wearing that day. Given his standing in the community there will likely be other lawyers, Doctors and business owners so smart casual with a...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

I can't knock the actual service. I've always been loyal to them as I used to work for them but it's a case of fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

My issue is with the...

Re: 3 month travel.

I'm guessing you don't have dual citizenship. Neither do I but my kids do. You can use either but it makes sense to use the EU passport in the EU and the UK passport in the UK. Currently you can...

For the dual passport holders you're supposed to use the same for entry and exit but nothing is stopping you playing a...

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

Great, thanks for that. Re the 4G/5G difference, in that case it's the same as deciding if a Fiat is faster than a Ferrari in a traffic jam. 150 is very good

Re: Looking for a recommendation on mobile network provider in Spain, prices/opt

I've just been looking at Movistar with a view to changing from Vodafone, good to see some praise. Vodafone is very good but their customer service is shocking.

Mind if I ask a few questions? ...

Re: 3 month travel.

The stamps are largely irrelevant nowadays. Each country has their own database which is shared with other countries, certainly within the EU. When you enter they scan your passport, see you are...

Re: Oxo cubes and branston pickle

Bummer. For a budget cruise where you can take your car and do as you please you could:
Take the Civitavecchia to Barcelona ferry. 30 Euro each, car goes free and rooms start around 75 if you don't...

Re: Tenant Eviction Nightmare -Part 2

Shouldn't we just close the thread and have a new thread for bar talk? There is no evidence of a squatter. The tenant was evicted. The current situations are related to assualt, unpaid fines,...

Re: Experience of non-EU travellers into Italy.

It's because the PLF is linked to your passport number. I had to use the 'All other countries' queue a couple of weeks ago and offered my PLF paperwork. The guard told me there was no need as he...

Re: A big sock

No chance, not unless you applied last year. If your gestor is telling you otherwise, sack them. If you're not using a gestor, especially for your TIE, I suggest you get one asap.
