Actually, it's not legal in Queensland. However there are ways around it. A stylist can subcontract to a salon but they must have an abn number. They are then responsible for their own tax...

Hairdressers CAN earn big money IF they are motivated and prepared to work for it.
Commission is paid on top of base salary so its up to the stylist if they want to make money....

I would suggest going to Australia House and have a chat to the people there. Look on the internet at the main cities of Australia and decide what sort of climate you would feel happy...

Hi, we are about 15 mins from the city on the northside and Bulimba is 10 mins on the southside so its very easy to get to the salon from there.
A car would be easier as you would have to get a bus...
