Re: Uk passport renewal from Italy

I'd like to renew my passport online, but I'll give up if I don't sort this out within a couple of days!
I see that I'll need a digital photo; they tell you that you can get this from a...

Re: Uk passport renewal from Italy

It's my turn for renewal! One thing that I want to find out is how much it's going to cost me, but looking at Google entries is a real frustration with wildly varying prices and then you find you're...

Re: English speaking electrician in Liguria, Italy

It's rather a tall order! I can't imagine looking for a French-speaking electrician in Brighton!
But all the best in your search...

Re: Italian Elections

Well, now we've got a semi-fascist blonde tax-cutter for the rich in Number Ten and Palazzo Chigi. Anyone contemplating a trip to Mars?

Re: How much do you pay for firewood?

A friend of mine who has a pellet stove says he'll have to pay about four times as much as last year (I don't remember the exact figures).

Re: About Queen Elizabeth

I am a convinced republican, although that doesn't mean that I see some example to be followed in the republics of this world; abolition of the monarchy would only be the first step.
However, I...

Re: Reporting visitors from abroad to the questura

Sorry, only just seen your question! I don't really know the answer but I think it's likely to be older than the Anti-Terrorism law.

Re: Reporting visitors from abroad to the questura

Just to fill in on the law about declaring visitors. This dates from March 1978 when Aldo Moro was kidnapped by the Red Brigades (and subsequently murdered). The government introduced an...

Re: New biometric card

Addition to the above: in the letter from the Questura it said I had to use a bollettino TD 674. Further investigation convinced me that the above texts would come out automatically. So this morning...

Re: New biometric card

Hi all! I'm in doubt about what to write on the bollettino. I've found you can fill it in online, which I'm now doing, although I'm not sure about actually paying - this is apparently just a way of...

Re: New biometric card

Apologies to Plan B for not replying to a question nearly a month ago! Shows I've really neglected this forum.
If it's still useful, the answer to your question is that I got the Spid through the...

Re: Italian Digital Identities

I've found that the Spid works nicely with the regional health authority and Inps. But I know someone who needs a "Stato di famiglia" and Solacower's experience doesn't bode well...

Re: Italian Digital Identities

As the discussion seems to be widening out I'll have my say!
There's a point where Italy seems more bureaucratic than the UK at first sight, but is actually less so. I'm talking about elections and...

Re: New biometric card

Here in Milan I finally received an email a few weeks ago after I'd set up a PEC. My appointment is 11 June.

Re: New biometric card

After having no luck (so far) with ordinary email (see above) I too have opened a pec and I sent the message 3 days ago. I'll see how it goes.

By the way, my ordinary email didn't bounce back, it...

Re: New biometric card

Thanks a lot to all those who have given me information about the PEC. However, it did occur to me too, that if a message is rejected I should get an "undelivered" notification. I haven't got one, so...

Re: New biometric card

Oh dear, do I need to have a PEC? I haven't got one - never needed one up to now, I'll have to see how to go about getting one. Meanwhile, can't they reply without one, not even to tell me I need...

Ah, that seems a likely explanation - thanks.

That might be...

Re: Brand new WA attestazione from your comune.

Re: Brand new WA attestazione from your comune.

Thanks for that, Hadenuf! I'll get on the phone to them.
