Wait 24 months to apply for PR?

Want to apply for PR. The forms state that I need to be in a job for 24months before I can apply.
Has anyone applied before the 24months?...

Re: $50,000 enough to live on in NZ?

Agreed. 50K a year = 3K a month.

For a single person, its fine. For a family, not so good.

Could someone tell me where I can buy cheap-ish car supplies/accessories from.

Need a tyre inflator which connects to the cigarette lighter.

Re: Teaching

Your experience/service in the UK would count towards your salary.

Being Provisionally registered just means that you will be observed a few times in the year - it doens't affect salaries. You...

Re: teaching in the south island.

Unfortunately, because of the attractive nature of the South Island (landscape, house prices etc), the only way a person leaves a teaching job down south is in a coffin.

Why not look for and take...

Re: Are the schools as bad as i've read

UK education - too many tests, league tables and schools trying to out-do each other. The focus tends to be to "learn this as it will come up in the exam".

NZ education - Kids learn what they...

Gasping for one!

Does anyone know of a fish and chip shop around Auckland which sells Pukka Pies/saveloys?

Lack of selection at the "chippie" is starting to become a valid reason to head back to the UK!
