Another option you could look at, is Commercial Vehicle Enforcement? Every province has their own service. Here is a link for Alberta so you can have an idea what they do....

I do currently have an application in with the CBSA, though you still need to complete a fitness test. I don't see the Border officers chasing many bad guys :eek:

As of 1st of May 2016 you can apply to the RCMP as a permanent resident. I think the change in policy is due to low numbers of people applying?

When I came to Nova Scotia in 2008, as a permanent resident; I found it really hard to get a job as a truck driver. I even had a Canadian class one license which I got while i was stationed in Goose...

Had a call yesterday from the citizenship office in halifax, asking a few questions on my file. Hopefully I'll get my date soon! Sorry to hear roxye on what a nightmare you're going through!! ������

I would consider setting up a payment plan with your creditors, maybe checking with citizens Advice. Another option is if you dont have any secured debt is to claim bankruptcy in the UK i know...
