I totally agree with you on the patriotism front and that education is failing them.

I would hope that we are not the only ones that can see this and that patriotism would spur them on to greater...

Where are the Engineers, Architects, Doctors, Lawyers, Scientists, Software Engineers etc? How about some money spent on producing some home grown talent instead of just buying stuff?

The last I heard, No 1 Tower Suites were charging 500 AED per night for a room - and that is through a discounted corporate deal. So thats 15K a month.

I don't think the govt. here would allow that.

I understand that du axed a load of expat contractors sometime in 2007, but ended up having to re-recruit as, internally, things pretty much stopped....
