Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

Updating to say - I WAS APPROVED!

It was a joint I751/N400 interview (Dallas Field Office), so very glad I took my husband along. Very nice USCIS officer, was more of a chat than an interview. She...

Re: Moving kids into American schools

We moved here when my son was 5, joined Kindergarten 3 months into the school year and had no problems at all settling in. I was worried that he'd be a bit of an outsider but kids are so resilient,...

Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

Thanks CS. My I751 has been pending for 23 months now (August '17 filer). The USCIS officer who arranged my infopass appointment (I551 stamp) told me that the applications had been lumped together,...

Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

I did a search on here before I posted and could only find you warning about this

Ah well, was excited this was the end of the journey. If it means waiting a few more months then... <shrug>

Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

Huh. Ok. Why do you think my I751 was sent to Lee's Summit then? They don't process I751s...

Probably a stupid question, USCIS can do whatever the heck they want

Re: My I-751 Timeline

My I751 hasn't been approved and my N400 interview is next month. No clue what they're going to do about that; adjudicate at the same time? Deferred adjudication? Who knows!

Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

Ok, resurrecting this as things have finally moved forward.

I have my N400 interview next month, but still haven't heard anything about my I751 application. I know that both applications were sent...

Re: Who has recently applied for U.S citizenship?

Ok, I'm really frustrated.

Applied for I751 roc in August 2017, N400 submitted September 2018.

We're traveling to the UK in a couple of months so I was hoping we'd have our 10 year green cards...

Re: Help needed - expired PR extension letter and travel

Thanks Rene, that's what I thought. Just needed to make sure - I'd do anything to get there but I'm not leaving the US without the right paperwork to get back in.

Help needed - expired PR extension letter and travel

Hi all,

Just need a bit of guidance. Applied to have conditions removed in August 2017. Received an 18 month extension letter which expired 4 days ago.

I may have to fly back to England in the...

Re: Emigrating with a Step Child

That was all I did to move here with my son. I drafted the letter, his dad signed iti and no-one has ever asked to see it. Really weird.

Re: Who has recently applied for U.S citizenship?

I'm a bit confused. I received a notice a couple of weeks back saying that my i751 application (filed August 2017, yes I'm still waiting...) has been transferred to NBC. Could that be because I've...

Re: Who has recently applied for U.S citizenship?

Ummm... Maybe a little bit

Holding onto the fact that anecdotally things seem to be going through a tiny bit faster than that. Their online processing times say 17.5 - 19.5 months...

Re: Who has recently applied for U.S citizenship?

I applied online in August. Estimated completion date? November... 2020. So 26 months. Do I win?!

This is Dallas BTW.

Re: K-1 Milestones Experience - Medical, Interview & POE

Welcome to the US!

The whole process is weirdly anticlimatic isn't it? I went to my interview armed with this huge folder of information, photos etc and was just asked 3 quick questions and it was...

Re: Hoffage’s N400 thread

Couldn't find an official thread, so I'll just add mine here.

Pressed the button on my online N400 last Friday (so 09/07/18). Our field office is Dallas though, who are running at 18-21 months...

Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

Ok, apologies, I've just checked our copies and it was just one I751 form - it was the 2 payments and receiving 2 receipt numbers (one in my name and one in my son's name) that threw me off!

Ok,...

Re: I751Timeline/N400 Application

Thanks Rete.

Yes, multiple I751s - mine and my 9 year old sons (which is dependent on mine).

I never had an I551 stamp - we entered on K1/2 visas then did AOS. Shoot, I've just remembered that...
