Re: Exchanging UK driving licence with C1 to an Italian licence.

For me, resident in Basilicata, the process of swapping my license was quick and painless - and cheap.
I would think that getting your motorhome replated to Italian reg will make any problems with...

Re: The Comfort Zone. Favourite food, drinks, where to buy, and recipes.

Oh, and I love Italian sausage, just not - as someone said - as part of a fry up or in a toad in the hole!
Gino did a great recipe of sausage and beans on his last series in Italy. Lovely dish that...

Re: The Comfort Zone. Favourite food, drinks, where to buy, and recipes.

We have tried bbc good food recipe, James Martin, and some american site that promised to have recreated the authentic british breakfast sausage.
I suppose we will just have to keep trying.
No,...

Re: Move everything to Italy!

Well, your advice is excellent. We left most of the heavy stuff behind: cooker, washing machine, fridge freezer and bedroom furniture were all included in the house sale and we sold our dining and...

Re: Move everything to Italy!

We hired a 3.5 ton van, with a luton and tail lift, and packed most of the contents of our 3 bed house into it and drove it over.
Total cost for van hire for european use was under a grand. We...

Re: shopping centres

Just thought! Carry on past Pontecagnano to Battipaglia and take the SS18 down towards the Cilento. There is a designer outlet village a little way down - ignore it - but the SS18 is lined on both...

Re: Help - local knowledge of Naples and Sorrento needed please

We stayed at an hotel in S Agnello for our honeymoon! A short, but perilous walk into Sorrento, due to the - then - non existent pavements and busy road.
We have used the circumvesuviana a few...

Re: The Comfort Zone. Favourite food, drinks, where to buy, and recipes.

I am so getting into this cooking lark! Never thought I would enjoy it so much but, whilst we adore the local food, we like to eat different things.
Our curries are coming along in leaps and bounds....

Re: Italian beach resorts

We recently spent a couple of days in the Gargano. It is a delightful place with some charming towns - Peschici is great - lovely beaches, and if you like fish the food is incredible.

Deaths 24.
I suspect most of the cases will be in the two cities, Potenza or Matera.
More people have probably died in our region from...
